I remember a topic a long time ago about making neutral players move, and they managed to find a way to do it, the reason I'm asking is because this little map I'm making has no extra players, so I need to order a neutral player(9-12) does anyone remember how to do it?
None.
Yes, I do! I remember making that topic.
Neutral(Player 12) can be ordered to move(not sure about Attack or Patrol; not that it matters much as he couldn't attack anything anyway). Players 9-11 can be ordered to Patrol and Attack(Dont remember if Attack work but I think it did) but cannot take orders to Move. Obviously, these triggers have to be located in somewhere in P1-8, All Players, Forces 1-4 etc, but they still move. If you want them to just run in a strait line under fire, you have to create a hostile unit for P1-8(Create a unit that is for a player enemy to the player that will be shotting at it) and then give that unit to Player 12 and then order it around. Im pretty sure P9-11 do not work as this enemy player. The problem with ordering P9-11 directly is that since they won't accept the Move order, they will run away from attacking units(or follow based on invincibility).
So basically its this:
Create a unit for P1-8 that is enemy status to the attacker
Give the Unit to P12
Order the P12 unit to Move to Location X
It works for my map, it should work for yours!
None.
No player 8-12 cannot attack since they do not have vision.
None.
Supposedly you could give them vision...

No?
No player 8-12 cannot attack since they do not have vision.
Although buffer overflows make them able to attack at some specific places

Which was what I was refering too...

Always making me sad.
None.
I meant Attack as in giving them the order via triggers, Attack move. I know they wouldnt attack anything, but they would accept the order

Yeah, I remember talking to Farty about that, he used TrigPlug to do it

And thanks, I guess when I tried doing it I tried ordering I think it was player 9 to move, and attacking won't be a problem, I'm ordering a CC

This will help with my new map Ban Hammer

I swear I've made a map with that had players 9-11 ordered to move from location to location, and it worked perfectly. I think player 12 didn't work.
None.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch
Uhm afaik there's no special trick. Ofc the trigger must be owned by one of P1-8 and then just order P9-12's units to move.
Always worked for me without doing anything specific.
Yeah, that's exactly what I did, but on normal staredit. You can just order them to move. What editor are you using Falk?
None.

I meant that without modding it is impossible
?????
You can get P9-11 to move, they just don't accept the actually Move Order. The accept Patrol and Attack move orders. I think P12 is the opposite, accepting the Move Order but not the Attack or Patrol move Orders(Not sure, havent tested it in a while).
The reason I said that whole complex thing is that in my 8 Player TD, the only way to use an extended player as runners is doing the above process. P9-11 won't accept Move, so if you order them with Attack or Patrol move, they'll either chase the attacking unit or run from the attacking unit. P12 is Neutral so you'd need to set it as enemy somehow, and the only way Ive found to do that is giving the unit/creating the unit for an enemy player first, then ordering it around.
Also, what happened when they got vision, they functioned like a computer player w/o a script running?
None.
I don't know, he just told me he had them give him vision, so he could see what their vision looked like.
None.
