Let me show you how to hump without making love.

I know that some of you probably remember Oyen and I as the two people who made two fully functional Artificially Intelligent Gears for the map AstroGears by Tuxlar. Anywho, down to business...

I have lost my computer that had the AI files on it and thus, all my progress has been lost. I was wondering if anyone had one of the copies so I dont have to redo all of it.

Also, I was discussing with a friend and he might actually be interested in continuing the work and try to get some cool battles out of it, as well as increase his own skill since nobody on bnet really knows how or wants to learn how to play AG.

Well, I doubt that what I attached is the final version of AI Astrogears, but it's the only one I can find (that said, this computer has so many different levels of map folder that another might turn up eventually). Hope this helps!

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
