This is probably one of my best maps. I was talkin about this in anothor topic

-----------------------------------

Theres 2 teams. one is Sonic, tails and Knuckles, the other is metal sonic and eggman.

Everyone is given a healer so that they can heal ONE UNIT AT A TIME. It is a beacon and a crystal.

The main goal of the game is to collect all 7 Chaos emeralds. The Chaos emeralds are inside a very annoying maze.

There are Super marines in the maze who gaurd the emeralds and are scattered througout. They are very powerful in packs and tend to own people who arent ready to go to their healer right away. They tendo to follow you if you run. There numbers are greatest when they are by the Chaos emeralds.

------------------------------------
Player info
-----------------------------------
Sonic,Tails,Knuckles
---------------------------

Each player controls a special hero, that if he dies, then the whole team loses. This does not apply to Metal Sonic however.

Player one is the most powerful in terms of strength. Pkayer one controls a Fenix, who is Sonic. The healer is right by him, along with a pylon and sheild battery.

Player 2 is kind of a noob player. You are the only one in your team that can build. Tails is a wraith that can cloak and is the most useful for collecting emeralds.

Player 3 Is decent. You start out on angel island, which holds the master emerald and a buch of missle turrets. Knuckles is a firebat who is very useful for taking multiple enemies at once.

----------
Metal Sonic, Eggman
-----------------

Player 4 is Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic is a golaiath. There isnt much to say about him,but he can build. And if the Master Emerald is taken, You get Super Metal sonic.

Player 7 is eggman. Eggman is a vulture and very useful for colecting emeralds. He can build as well as Metal.

-----------------------------------------

There is a beacon in the middle of the map marked "???". After you collect the chaos emeralds, osmething happens there.

----------

I have heard many people complaining of the colors of the players do not match the character they are playing as. I guess i want thinking when i made this map.

the only bug in this game is the unplacable unit message everytime you collect an emerald. I didnt want to change, i would have to change aloota things.

----------------------------------------------

I gues thats it. If there are any bugs just tell me.

Edit: I figured out the bug. It has been fixed.

Most of the units don't really fit the character's game descriptions. It would've made sense if sonic was a zergling and knuckles was a zealot or so. You also need to provide a screen shot.

Actually, no, he doesn't. Map Production threads require screenshots and Map Showcase threads require a link to the map (which he has provided). I do like to see screenshots, regardless, but he doesn't have to. :/

Just here for the pie

Are there computer players in the map? You never addressed that. In your maps, as far as I can tell, it always seems like some players are a lot more powerful than the others.

Yes there is a computer player. It is for many units such as the chaos emeralds and the super marines.

All players are equal in power. Many people think they are more powerful than others. It is because players may cross paths with there enemy and kill there main unit, resulting in them winning for there whole team and the other team loses. When you are going for the emeralds, avoid crossing paths with your enemy, or else the game may end quickly.

NimoStar -- ban the bot :))
[05:17 am]
Oh_Man -- Like it doesnt even bother to build a comsat unless it sees a lurker or dt, etc
[05:15 am]
Oh_Man -- Hope that makes sense. Also artosiscast just dropped a 1 hour vid he analayses a bunch of its games. The TLDR is the maphack is responsible for a large percentage of its wins because its just hard countering zerg rushes
[05:14 am]
Oh_Man -- It's EMULATING the behaviour of a control group select and move without having the actual functionality to do that
[05:13 am]
Oh_Man -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: yeah but it looks like pluto's eAPM is still 6000 based on issuing all those orders
k the APM is inflated because it issues 12 identical orders individually. Its not 12 unique orders
[03:02 am]
Vrael -- which does reduce down to the same tradeoff I mentioned below, aka trading APM for time, but still interesting
[03:01 am]
Vrael -- and while the reaver was reloading it used that time to aggregate enough marine/tank to fend it off
[03:01 am]
Vrael -- like its micro vs one of the in-base reaver drops was pretty insane, basically it made the reaver spend 1 scarab per unit instead of 1 scarab for many workers/units
[02:58 am]
Vrael -- all the stuff I've said below is based on the actual gameplay vs some strong human performers, seems like the bot just has unfair advantages, but its also doing some cool stuff
[02:57 am]
Vrael -- NimoStar
NimoStar shouted: If its any consolation, the human brain would still mop the floor with this bot if it wasn't limited by the mechanical interface
I mean human brains trained the bot too, its not completely infeasible for the bot to actually be strong in certain scenarios
