I haven't done one of these competitions before. Does everyone usually put their map in the production section or is it like a big secret when they all come out? My map is coming along with about 5 hours of work on it and I don't think anyone's is going to be anything like it. I just hope it is fun, that is the score I am most worried about....

What i can remember, there's usually only about 2 or 3 topics about competition maps. Making a topic can be quite useful, since you'll get feedback.

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.[04:10 am]
Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier[02:19 am]
