I'm working on a map and it will be using randomized switches. I need to know how to figure out all the combinations of outcomes these switches will have. I think I need either three or four switches. What I would like is for someone to list the combinations please. :bleh:

Three Switch Randomized Combinations

1-----2-----3
S-----S-----S--1
------------C--2
------C----S--3
------------C--4
C-----C----C--5
------------S--6
------S-----C--7
------------S--8

S=Set
C=Cleared (Not Set(Text Triggers))

Each switch can either be set or cleared. (excluding randomized, toggle ) So for each switch their are 2 outcomes. All you need to do is multiply the current outcomes by two to find out how many possible outcomes their are.

EX: 1 switch = 2
2 switches = 4
3 switches = 8
4 switches = 16
So on and so forth.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

3 switches, 8 Combinations:
000
001
010
011
100
101
110
111
0 = cleared, 1 = set
You can easily expand it to 4 switches by copying the 8 combinations above and add a 0's to one copy and add 1's to the other copy (=16 combinations)

But let me say this: YOU ARE LAZY!

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

Number of combinations is 2^n, where n is the number of randomizations. Brontobyte's 2nd method is best (not the smallest, but we're talking like 3 more triggers).

Of course, the best way is to learn how binary works, and do it yourself.

It's really not too difficult though, especially with three switches, maybe if you have like 7 or 8...

This is all pretty much what I stated in my above post... :-_-:

For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.
