And an exploration at showing off your seniority. Post about members you miss that were once regulars, but for whatever reason, disappeared. No real guideline as to how far they need to be missed from your sites to qualify.

Definitely Demaris as he was like an uber Syphon.
Arbitrary used to be more active and he was funny.
Who can forget nuke?

I seem to remember Slyence which Syphon just reminded me of.

I know there were a million members i idiolized when i first joined but i really cant remember any names. Its all avatars and long forgotten jokes.

There's no way you could remember him. He left MM even before I joined and I joined in like 2 weeks that MM was there.

Anyway yeah, Demaris and DK I remember them. I also talk to Demaris once or more a week, I help him on spanish stuff.

In my early days at SEN id go through various old topics and posts, Slyence was one of my favorite people that i assumed was still around at the time. I did that a lot.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically
