Well, I ment to post this on http://www.maplantis.org but sence its offline or whatnot, here goes nothing.

I was wondering if it is possible to automaticly heal a unit, via triggers? Nothing to due with EUD would be nice. I was thinking of [I]Zerg Units
and how they heal by themselfs automaticly. I was thinking of something like a set Death Counter and add 1 to it every ~1 second, and then have another trigger with:
Actions:
Current Player Has Exactly 10 Deaths Of DC: Health

Conditions:
Set Current Player Hit Points Of Terran Marine To 10%

Good? Bad? More? Less?

Feed back please.

Doing something like that will only keep the Marine, in this case, only at 10% health. Sadly enough you can't give health nor take it away but I don't think that this approach is going to work for you

I was also thinking, what if the marine had more then 10% of its life? Then I would be setting it lower then to higher. How would I know its Hit Points? I dont want Virtual Hit Points Nor EUD's.

The fast answer is that you can't. You can make a unit's HP out of 100 and make their HP correspond to a number of deaths, but if you do this, you can only add or subtract HP with triggers. Your "real" HP would become a variable stored as deaths, rather than your actual HP.

Seems like virtual HP would be the way to go, that is if you don't have a ton of people to have the virtual health for because having too many will make you have a lot more triggers than what you would rather have...

ADDING HP with triggers is not possible.

However you can heal / repair / recharge shields of the unit.
Healing isn't even that difficult. Just periodically create a allied medic near your unit and remove it after a short time.
A scv and shield battery however would need the player to do it manually.

Oh_Man -- and no consistent easy to use way to then play the audio either

Oh_Man -- where they use third party audioprogram called WWISE which basically makes adding audio extremely difficult

Oh_Man -- i appreciate SCBW's ability to just let us upload and play WAVs so much compared to nightmare that is total war warhammer 3

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
