LLMs can now do EXE editing and disassembly on request

Hello. For over 10 years, I have done EXE hex editing manually

But now, with the aid of ChatGPT (I'm using the plus version because of a friend's account, though this is not necessary and probably something like Deepseek will also do, and of course Claude), you can just send something like the Brood War 1.16.1 executable and it will just edit it for you

Command cards, supply limits, animation pipelines, enabled attacks (I separated the Reaver's scarab and regular attacks into priorities) you name it. It can do it and will only become better.

Say goodbye to firegraft (which I famously didn't use either, because Windows Smart Screen autodeletes its files), you can now edit everything directly into the executable.

Also send other versions of the executable and compare the changes automatically.

I also made my mod (Ultimate Starcraft: Age of Darkness) NOCD natively without DLLs, executable aids and such, I upload the exe for reference. This is not in the currently released version ("Secret Beta") because I hadnt GPT'd yet there.

This could open a new era for 1.16.1 , if only any of us was still alive on this hobby ;)

And specially stop sending the merged exe with MPQs that make the mods unplayable because of auto-delete smartscreen :flamer: :teehee:
