Is it possible to have this version of starcraft without a cd? I found only link to a version that doesnt allow you to create username due to lack of file storage on cd

None.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Blizzard themselves enabled that.

I tried it and it didn't work (even with the CD mounted at the same time)

1.16.1

See images (too bad they don't preview)

It says something about missing "font\font.gid"

Even after adding everything in the font\ folder, I have another error:

Invalid data file version number

Program version: 17

Datafile version: 0

So I would need to edit the datafile version, and even then...

It can't find cursor\arrow.grp

It seems a bunch of files are missing.
