When I chat in a lobby on Battle.net, my real account name is always displayed first, followed by the actual account name I'm using in the gateway.

For example, if my real account name is "sethmachine" and my US West account name is "foobar", everytime I type this shows up in any lobby:

sethmachine (foobar): why is my real name showing?!

Most people who type I only see their gateway account. How can I make it so only "foobar" shows when I type?

I think it only shows your Blizzard account name to people that you've added as a friend through the Blizzard app. Of course, you'll always see it there, but I don't think anyone else sees it unless they're your friend.

What dem0n says is true, I see the realID of b.net app friends and no one else when chatting on SC.
