Hey gents, hopefully I am not annoying too much, but I am actually making progress, so this might be one of my last questions.

The Problem is the following: If I use scmdraft to change the colors of a player in the game the change works 100% fine. But for the preview map (the map that you see under 1.18 when you chose the map under create / that you see after u dled it in the lobby) the original colors of the player get shown (p1 = red, p2 = blue, p3 = teal...) Is there any way to fix this`?`

Thousand thanks!

None.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Did you save the map as .scx? (not .scm) Traditionally .scm doesn't support color change, but maybe they fixed it in 1.19 but forgot to fix it for briefing? (Sorry for wild theory)

I see you !

1.00 format SCM doesn't support color change, 1.04 format SCM stores the data but it is not used by starcraft.

But he says it works in-game but not in the lobby

E: I can confirm it happens even with SC:R and scx.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
