So latest patch has changed a bunch of things. First things first anyone know how to get a black player colour anymore (jungle tileset win10 I'm using), or is it no longer possible??

I think they've turned off extended player colours or something.

EDIT: I've started a petition on the official forums here: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/starcraft/topic/20755685728
Everyone please like and/or comment if you want extended colours brought back!

There's another thread elsewhere that tried mining colour data in 1.18, and after the latest patches, noted that none of them work now. Which is what SI is referring to I believe.

None.

Ah, sh*t.
I did notice black colour is gone indeed... this will mess up the black flames (units) I used in my Naruto maps >.< I even bothered using a rescuable player for this, thus sacrificing a valuable computer slot p_p
Let's hope Blizzard will do something about it.. anything, as long as black colour is brought back.

Pete Stilwell's response:

Friends,

Expanding team color options is in our backlog, but to manage expectation we're looking after SCR's release to get it in. For the record, I'll be picking crimson as my go to...

Cheers,
Pete

My understand is that without modding or EUDs, it's currently not possible.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
