Hi, does anyone know how to change a unit to another unit such as a reaver walking as a templar but shooting as a reaver?
It was in the Blizzard RPG map and I was wondering if it is due to triggers or what?

None.

Long ago it could be done with EUD Actions (now patched), now you can do it with Extended Units at a bit higher of a cost.

There is no other way that I know of, if you check the triggers of the map (assuming it's quite old) it will probably have "Set Deaths" actions for very high player numbers or very high unitID numbers (what we called EUD actions), these took advantage of an overflow that allowed us to easily change all sorts of data regular triggers couldn't - with newer starcraft patches death actions with high numbers like that are ignored - so the trick no longer works.

Turns out I know this guy elsewhere ;)

The Map

However you can still change data outside the regular range with some tricks gone over in that thread I linked, none of which I would expect you to understand in a short amount of time... http://www.staredit.net/topic/14226/ would be a good starting point.

Templars could also be made to appear like reavers, with a good old direct damage system (i'll find a link) - but this would not feel right if you wanted players to be "shooting" the templars.
