Now that my DC problem has been fixed. can some one show me how to eather force a comp def to cast Dark Swarm or, creat on?

ok. i see that but i need a bunch of DarkSwarms to be cast or created in a room as an effect.. is there an ai script that forces a def to cast on a location or just a way to creat one?

What you could do, is have the defilers ready, and when the players are a certain distance away from the room, have two computers fight. The defilers have zerglings or zealots (preferably zerglings, because it may not like zealots xD) Then, when a certain amount of time is up (before players get there) the units go away. I have also seen a defiler swarm itself.

ok new problem. i am useing an ammo system and do not want the players to see the hp of the enemys. how do i take away the hp of the enemy without makeing it imortal?

also. how do insreas the rate at wich units fire they'r weps?

what does an ammo system have to do with seeing enemy hp? no, you can't hide it without it being invincible.
the only way to increase fire rate without modding is to remove/recreate the unit, however it doesn't work very well with certain units. It works well with the reaver.

ah ok. but yes there is a way to remove a units hp from sight and still beable to shoot and kill it. I'v seen it done in other maps where bosses are like this. low hp or high. i want to hide the enemyies hp because with my ammo system.. there's no need to see it

Set the hp to 10k+, then you cannot see it.

You cannot Make a Unit's HP invisible unless you do it in the map editor- There is no way to Change a unit's HP Cap ingame.

i dotn think it has to be over 10k hp cause i'v seen it done with wayy less. (2 rines count kill an ultra in about 1 minute so it had to be less..

ok new problem. is there any spash range right on top of a lurker? i want to creat about 10 lurkers burrowed right under my rine and have an allied comp own them. now they will be moved with my rine and his location. but when they attack an enemy unit. will it hurt me?

Please, if you got a different question open a new thread or ppl won't be able to find topics related to their problem when the search function is finally implemented or while searching manually through the topic titles.

There are 2 ways:
Set the ultra or w/e to 400/10000 hp OR
(protoss only) give the unit 0/10000 shield and the desired hp.

They will hurt you.
But you might want to give them to the player and have burrow tech disabled.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
