What's the size of the minimap?

Just here for the pie

Is this good enough for a Save-As icon?

Quick fix, but now the actual image is only 15x15. I assume that's okay, though.

Floppy disks in 2012, get out of here

None.

Why is the floppy disk yellow? :P

Because it's based off the one jjf28 posted:

I'm having some trouble finding a good 16x16 save-as button, someone want to suggest or draw one? <3

I was using the windows default buttons for most of these; mostly cause every1 is (or should be) familiar with a fair number of them. SaveAs was not a default button apparently.

Maybe what looks weird about it is that Save As icons generally have the writing utensil pointed down and to the left? Not sure.

Is a Save As button really necessary? To be honest, I don't even know what one looks like because hardly any programs use them. :P If you can't find a good icon, having an easy hotkey like control+shift+s as Save As would work just as well, I'm sure.

Dec 4 2012, 1:10 am Azrael Post #52

Or you could mimic the way the button looks in SCMDraft2. That looks nice.

Save-as is more necessary on that bar than save in my opinion, as everyone knows and spams ctrl+s, but save-as is not used as often and therefore less memorized - making it an actual convenience to have on the toolbar.

I removed the save screenshot button that was there on SCMDraft because I don't feel anyone uses that feature - but correct me if i'm wrong.

I don't think anyone will mind it being gone on the toolbar, but definitely keep the function in. I've used it in the past.

Just wanted to see this looks awesome and I'm glad you're working on it, keep up the good work!

I actually do use the save picture button a lot. Keep at in the menu at least, please. :)

Just underline the Save floppy for Save As in the floppy image with a dark line.

SDE, BWAPI owner, hacker.

jjf28, for drag-and-drop I was referring to files from the Windows Explorer onto the program. So you can drag a file from your maps folder directly onto the program and it will open the map.

EDIT:
Also try these:
MWheel - Change zoom level
CTRL+MWheel - Change brush size

Took a break something about finals --> 7 days of Christmas, but i'm back on the job!

Update: 1/3/2013

- Can now view and change tile values (ctrl+click)
- Can scroll around the map
- Minimap is functional
- 32x32 "normal" grid overlay
- New maps have the tileset index for terrain (temporary)

Tile images seem to be encapsulated through 4 files :annoyed:, but the .VR4 files have the tile images in the same order as MTXM values? Still workin' on 'em.

This is looking really good. I like Heinermann's idea for the drag and drop feature. That would be really neat. Also could you put SFmpq.dll and msvcr100.dll in the ZIP file next time so I don't have to keep downloading them? Lol. Actually the SFmpq.dll is in the Starcraft directory, but I still had to copy it to the location of Chkdraft. Personally, I think you should add Roy's EUDCalc and other useful programs to it as a plug-in so that people won't have to have so many seperate programs. Like maybe an option to take a picture and turn it into a map or compress it like TinyMap 2. Overall though, I really like what you have done so far. Keep up the good work!

NudeRaider -- The visuals are good, the animation is terrible: the movement is off, the impacts in battle scenes have zero weight to it, the lip sync is right up uncanny valley. But yeah, considering what it is it's pretty good overall.

NimoStar -- And Pathfinding in SC1 was not *that* bad, the problem is that it was designed as a flat 2D game like WC1 (and it was in the alpha) and then switched to isometric without changing the base code. So its actually a flat game pretending to be isometric. With the custom competitive maps that use larger ramps and elevation, pathfinding is quite fixed.

NimoStar -- The unlocking and map choice was fine, but mostly in WoL - In HoTS the worst of all units are irrelevant because Kerrigan has infinite summon and stuff. And even in WoL the spaceship instakill map powers are better than units. If I could RTS in my RTS that'd be great.

NudeRaider -- Nekron
Nekron shouted: NudeRaider not that the og sc1 campaigns are particularly good mechanically but cmon, SC2 map mechanics are the opposite of fun
There's many parts to it. I think the raw rts gameplay of sc1 is unsurpassed to this day. And I too never liked that sc2 missions always rush you in some way or another, because I like to take my time. However I still have to admit that they way they did it often was always pretty cool. Like lava rising and receding, a huge-ass mothership destroying bases, undead coming at night, just to name a few, those are definitely creative, so I'm sure there's people that liked it. But that's not even what I meant. It's the unlocking of new features and upgrades and choice which map to play next that made it so much more motivating for me.

Nekron -- like the train maps, enemies just kind of come at you (I'm not sure if there is a real enemy base, there might be one just on a technicality - you are to never interact with its production) and then you gotta chase trains for lulz
