SEN Impossibru is a Collaborative Impossible Scenarios type map for Starcraft 2. Members of SEN will participate by creating their own Impossible level and we will release it as one single map. This is a response to the micro map that blizz is making. This is going to be a funny (yet serious) map.

Basic Rules: There are many ways to make an impossible map but we will establish some basic simple rules to keep things consistant
Rule 1: Starcraft default melee units will stick with their original stats.
Rule 2: Each level you contribute must be less than 40x40. We will use a full 256x256 to try to fit
Rule 3: Levels with triggers will be not be accepted ( but there can be exceptions)
Rule 4: Be considerate/respectful to the players and mappers. Dont go overboard with the humor, dont make a map that has 100 mobs and you only have a ling, and dont make the level thats too funky of a shape.
Rule 4: Each level should have a unique 'signature' of that creator. That means, the level you are creating should reflect your personality, your prefered game style, your level of challenge. I am also allowing players to provide "hero' units of their names, even make them like a last enemy boss at the end.

Core structure of the map -
I want the map to have this Master/apprentice in training style. I want to have a NPC protagonist named: Master SEN and will provide host-humor. Inspired by MA's minigame party. He say things like, "You must past the twials to become mauster". He will make fun of you if you dont pass a level and make fun of you for not trying to hard when you do pass a level. If a level becomes too impossible and everyone dies, the Master SEN will spawn and say, "IMPOSSIBRU? NO WAY!" and we will patrol the entire level and kill everything.

Optional things:
1. If possible, I would like an overworld. Think super mario world.
2. Maybe use the banks for players to rack up pointless achievements
3. Add some funny easter eggs
4. maybe the hero units can be mercenaries you can buy off the sen store

My style is to have big levels. Can I be the exception to the 40x40 rule? :3

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
