I have seen some games where it does not require EUDs, but somehow people can get their units upgraded. For example: In a map, it will randomly choose a person for you, and then upgrade certain things. Like in this case, a Dark Archon has mind control upgraded, but other people do not. You can be that same person again, and you might not have mind control. Or same thing with a Queen getting Spawn Broodlings. How do you do this?

nevermind, I already found the answer.. Lmao.

For future reference: a common trick for this is:

1. Have the technology researched for a computer player.
2. Give a unit owned by that computer player to a human player.
