I downloaded the newest version of SCMDraft from Maplantis, and now all my maps get corrupted.

Any way to undo this?

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

O.o Too many questions to ask... A possible 'quickfix' would be to try downloading the file again, in case it was corrupted last time, but answer the following questions for me:

1. What is your version of SCMDraft? (Don't say newest or latest...) It should be version 0.8.0
2. How are the files 'corrupted' ?
3. What do you do to the maps when they get corrupted (how you save them, etc)

That's the latest SCM Draft, try getting it from there.

1. 0.8.0
2. Just saved them with the save button and typed a name.
3. They open, close, save, etc. fine, but when someone tries to join them they get unable to join. I've had two cases of this. My joining is fine, people can join other games of mine.
I would've specified the problem exactly earlier, but I was in a rush.

I've tried:
Protecting and unprotecting with uberation
Recycling strings with uberation
Opening and saving in Staredit

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.
