Force problems

player 1 has his own force and the other 5 human players in my defense are in force 2. when i create the game im automaticaly in force 2 instead of 3 any help?

Did you place start locations for all players?

I'm guessing that you have all of the players except for 7 and 8 set as human controlled, meaning you can move around in the player 1 - 6 slots. If this is so, what's the problem? Just move into the first player slot. If you need to be player one for testing on your own, you could try setting the other human player slots to neutral.

its not a problem for me, the creator, but for someone whos hosting the game they might either 1 get annoyed if someone joins and gets in that slot before they can or 2 they wont even realize they arent in the special host slot.

The best solution would be to not have a special host slot, but the only thing you can do is make sure you name the force "Host" or something.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.
