Galactic Gunnerz is all you ever need. With six players, it's perfect. ;O

Town Wars v1 (sorry payne, your knock offs are needlessly complicated with extra fluff)
Armored Core (Minimoose will come for this)
[47] (see above)

Okay since i don't have most of the maps you listed i need someone to host it lol... I'd also like to have an approved list of maps instead of random maps just becuase alot of maps are too long like every starcraft rpg ever made :awesome:

Mah version is more balanced, and the only complex thing is the Revival Potion.
At the very least, I prefer my version because it doesn't boot the players once they are dead.
I've also added a handicap system that compensates the leaving of a player in a team.
Anyways. :(

... I would be interested to hear your complaints about my map since I planned to make a remake for sc2 in a very near future. :)

How could I forget those?!

Remembered me of other classics:
- Astrogears
- Falling Tiles
- Futbol v2
- Metal Marines
- Mini-Game Party
- Worms

There was also another map that was popular among Map Nighters, but I can't remember its exact name. It included "Marine Squad" or something like that. It was about 2 teams of 3 players, with 1 line linking each opponent, and you'd build structures to improve your income, and that kind of jazz. :O

Oooh thanks payne forgot worms.

Astrogears might be too difficult of a learning curve for some.

Any SENer that doesn't know how to play Astrogears doesn't deserve to be a SENer. :massimo:

I can't play it. :awesome:

Woah

I seem to recall that our old Map Nights were a hangout for people to play whatever they wanted together or test new maps with each other. Granted this doesn't seem to be a reboot of SEN Map Nights, but having an "approved set of maps" seems odd nonetheless.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
[2026-6-20. : 6:15 pm]
Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.
[2026-6-20. : 3:47 pm]
NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.
[2026-6-20. : 3:43 pm]
NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
