General Guide to all the VP Characters

This game is absolutely brilliant for being a freeware distribution. Why don't more people play it? SENers who gave soku a try should attempt this as well.

The sword is as big as her body. It also appears to be made out of wood. I therefore don't play it.

Final Fantasy 7 was the last game I'll ever play in which the Japanese can fuck with my head by giving my characters insanely large weapons.

fucking terrible and annoying voice work, that's why

I'd need a LOT of convincing to bear through that.

How is the voice work bad? You can actually understand what they are saying, unlike SSF4 (TIGER SHOT TIGER SHOT TIGERSHOTIGERSHATTIRATSOATPIRATESOAP PIRATE SOAP PIRATE SOAP). Also, consider the fact that VP was developed by a single person and released for free; it is in all honesty beyond my expectations.

Are you sure about that?

Funny thing; I thought I was the only one that knew about that game in SEN. Guess I was wrong.

Just tried it a bit and I'm as terrible as I expected. The style reminds me a lot of Blazblue, which I'm also terrible at. You got any tips for how to stop button-mashing and start executing some proper combos and stuff in these kind of games? ^^

Playing against other players online is always a good start, or if you're still getting used to the controls, go in practice mode (really just vs. Player) and mess around a bit without the pressure of an opponent who's attacking you. See what inputs do what, and try out some basic combos and see which assists you like.

Eh, it is nothing like BlazBlue... BlazBlue is all about combos.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
