:payne:

Could the :awesome: and :massimo: smileys be added to the Shoutbox "Extras" 's list?
I think some people might want those too: ;D, :prof:, :facts:,, :scared:.

And well... all those listed to the left of the "Write post" field.

None.

I think :hurr: , :massimo: , :wtfawesome: , and other popular smiles should just replace the one old ones in the extras. Though lets be honest, no one uses clickable smilies anyways, most people just type it in, instead of clicking extra and then clicking the smilie. It's simply redundant.

It would be cool to add the "view all smilies" button to the extras though. ^^

So you're just too lazy to look up the smiley's code and type it? There's a fine line between convenience and appearance in terms of listing similies in that box. Though I agree a few (like :massimo:) are popular enough and single-line enough to warrant addition.

EDIT: :hurr: was already there. Added :massimo: :awesome: :scared: and  based on my impression of their popularity.

This is also a good idea.

Impossible.

If anything, the ;D smiley should be removed, or at least have its trigger changed to :;D: or . SEN should NOT autoparse the default ASCII ;D smiley to this abomination that's the mutant illegitimate child of :D and ;).

I agree, change it to  or something.

I order you to forgive yourself!

I say we keep it the same, it's probably the best smilie we have anyway. ;D

It would be nice if it was a user customizable list, of like 5 smilies, plus a few of the most popular ones currently.

This is more of a feature, but can we make the Clickable Smilies Bar Customizable?

Sounds like superfluous work for the coders. Most people would have popular smilies such as :massimo: , :hurr:, :wtfawesome: , :cecil: , :nude: , as their default anyways. In addition, are you really so lazy that you cannot even type out the smilie code? As I said before in Payne's request thread, it's simply redundant to click extra and then click the smilies. By this time, you should be able to memorize the smilie codes already. The clickable smilies are more suitable for new members than regulars, and new members would want to have basic smilies, like :) .

:winkkiss: sux.

They're not bad if they don't replace others...like ;D. :uberflame:

I standby my request for a view all button in the extras.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
