I forgot to say in our last test:
If possible, let players always have access to the 3 buttons on the very left (units, abilities, upgrades) when within the shop. It is very annoying to shift from one to an other.

That'll be impossible. I actually had to remove the Cancel button now. Just use Hotkeys. Q A and Z are the hotkeys in grid format for their relative buttons in the shop. You'll have to press the shop button again or actually make a unit for it to go back to the main shop area. But I also made the numpad capable of massing, so that helps. I wish I had more menus to work with. :\

There's a possibility I'll just have to use dialogs. I don't wanna have to do it, but that's what I might have to do. :\

EDIT: Got it working thanks to some help over here. It's uploaded and in working order. I have an update for it that will be released when I'm able to upload it.

How much of this map did you do in triggers? I heard you almost never actually use triggers... or was that Sand Wraith...

It was likely Sand Wraith you were thinking of. I do heavily prefer the use of the Data Editor and attempt to stay away from triggers as much as possible, but there's only so much you can do.

Just wondering: do you consider the map as being finished? (Including the balance and user-friendliness)

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new
