Did something crash?

Woops, forgot how to do it.

What I did was, I went in SCMDRAFT 2.

And I put a player 20, wrath. I forgot if it as the spritied version, I also tested by putting a zergling, and figured that Each unit gives off a different color, or a combination gives off colors.

When I play it, it doesn't crash me, but it seems to crash other people???
Maybe that can be fixed?

O, and I did the print screen for screenshot. I tried doing the minimap, but it only screenshots the area.

And what if you could create a p20 unit, and then destroy it.

What if You could switch the terrian colors on and off. - Haven't tried yet.

o.o

COPYRIGHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Edit: You can change the terrian, by killing the p20 unit. Haven't experimented with creating a p20 unit, but when you kill a p20 unit the terrian changes from wierd to normal, but the minimap is still CLEAR terrian.

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

1. I did not test with other people, but I can confirm that the host does not crash.

2. The minimap goes blank* (aside from unit displays).

3. If you kill the p20 unit, the terrain will display normally. However, the minimap will still be blank*

4. I don't know if it's possible to make a p20 unit or give to a p20 using triggers. I tried using both SCMD2 and SF, and failed both times.

*Tar does not go blank. It looks a little lighter than the rest of the map. By blank, I mean the same thing as if the whole map were null terrain.

Interesting!
That could be used into Horror maps :D

This is useless as it fucks up everything.

Kenoli discovered this months, perhaps years ago and no one cared then either.

Yes, I've seen this before, heinermann showed it to me.

Why, yes, I was investigating extended players back in 2003!

Anyway, your stuff is going to last until the next patch. Have fun while you can. :P

So what exactly does the x2 and x4 do to the game speed? I saw that people were commenting on it but is it for sure that a P20 Wraith is the answer on how to do it?

x2 = 2 times the speed, a zergling can run a mile in 5 seconds. in x2 speed mode, it doubles the time in which it finishes. so it wll finish in 10 seconds. x4 = 20 seconds. (before the patch, done by putting a p13 unit, there's a list, you can search it if you want)
And I discovered in x2 mode, when you do the unburrow trigger, it cloaks your zergling, if you burrow again, you can uncloak and

same goes to x4.

I dont know if there are any test map.

And people have there own opinions, if you find it useless, thats great, but you can visually change the terrian by destroying a p20 unit. I dunno about creating a p20 unit.

Nothing, they never planned anything. Patches just happen to change where/how memory is stored, leading all the overflows from extended players to affect different things.

Rofl its vice versa.

x2 speed means everything runs with double speed. => Ling makes the mile in 2.5s (1.25s for 4x)
This is for real time at least.

Don't know the effect on ingame timers but I guess they run with double speed too, as everything else is sped up.
That would mean if the ling runs over your screen while 5 countdown timer seconds have passed in normal speed, 5s will also be counted down when ling runs at 2x speed.

I made a test map, and it seemed to crash me.

So I have a P20 Wraith on the map originally, then kill it through triggers? Or, do I create one through triggers? ~_~

Nov 18 2007, 9:30 am kow_lover Post #19

I dont know about creating it, but I know you add it on by an editor. and kill it with a unit IN THE GAME.

I guess, it could be some-what new, if used in the right way

NimoStar -- And Pathfinding in SC1 was not *that* bad, the problem is that it was designed as a flat 2D game like WC1 (and it was in the alpha) and then switched to isometric without changing the base code. So its actually a flat game pretending to be isometric. With the custom competitive maps that use larger ramps and elevation, pathfinding is quite fixed.

NimoStar -- The unlocking and map choice was fine, but mostly in WoL - In HoTS the worst of all units are irrelevant because Kerrigan has infinite summon and stuff. And even in WoL the spaceship instakill map powers are better than units. If I could RTS in my RTS that'd be great.

NudeRaider -- Nekron
Nekron shouted: NudeRaider not that the og sc1 campaigns are particularly good mechanically but cmon, SC2 map mechanics are the opposite of fun
There's many parts to it. I think the raw rts gameplay of sc1 is unsurpassed to this day. And I too never liked that sc2 missions always rush you in some way or another, because I like to take my time. However I still have to admit that they way they did it often was always pretty cool. Like lava rising and receding, a huge-ass mothership destroying bases, undead coming at night, just to name a few, those are definitely creative, so I'm sure there's people that liked it. But that's not even what I meant. It's the unlocking of new features and upgrades and choice which map to play next that made it so much more motivating for me.
[2026-3-05. : 6:49 pm]
Nekron -- like the train maps, enemies just kind of come at you (I'm not sure if there is a real enemy base, there might be one just on a technicality - you are to never interact with its production) and then you gotta chase trains for lulz
