Sooo I'm just reading this manga and it seems to have this hella awesome warfare idea. It has 1 King 2 guards 1 spies and 2 attackers.

I'm thinking there should be different heroes for each different person with different skills and all. Spies should be like attackers but be more of fast units so they can get out and check stuff out ex: Ling or vulture. Attackers should be like zealots, goon, hydra, high templar, dark templar, firebat. Guards should be ranged units like ghost, lurker, tank. Kings should be either ultra, rine, reaver or something else (Haven't really thought about this part xD)

Same heroes on each side should be allowed but maybe have spell picking?

Game is won when someone kills the other team's king. For healing system there should probably be healing by 1 medic so people can't spam heal. There should also be a training system to upgrade spells and attack.

I can't really make maps so if anyone wants to do this feel free to >:D any suggestions on anything else?

None.

It just sounds like a really plain and boring map. Nothing really original, no cool concepts... really just... Blank.
Sorry if that was a little harsh.

If you cannot map why are you on a mapping website? Just wondering.

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face

This reminds me of assassinate the president. Quite a fun game; simple yet requires skill and strategy.

Red classic.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.
