I am making a boss Tassadar where he can makes hallucinations of himself, the problem is that the location does not center on him after the hallucinations come into play. i cant make them for the other computer because red and green is easy to distinguish. I cant give hallucinations to player 9. is there any solution for keep tract of a Templar with hallucinations

if worst comes to worst, ill use Aldaris as Primary Boss and Hallucination Tassadars as Hallucinations

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

If you are fine with P9's inactivity you could just color your boss player green, just like P9. ;)

Otherwise to distinguish a hallucination from a real unit you can give all templars to another player, but only the real unit will be given. Then center the location and give the templar back.
This is instant, but will cause a deselect and possibly units attacking the templar might aquire a new target.

thats a perfect solution actually, the real one will be given away centered and given back. also its a sniper type map so the players will constantly re acquire new targets manually ty

Symmetry -- Man I wish we had this tech back in the day when people played ums lmao
[06:28 am]
NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
