i remember asking a few months ago on how to "add" a anti save option. somebody responded with a way to do it with euds or something.
a map i have been working on, i did not add any trigger with euds except "press esc" to mini map ping a location. The map that had the anti save option was
Sniper The moon, when you save and then load the saved game, it just say starcraft crashed. in my map, when you save then load it says cannot read setup.exe
if it helps, im using installation tileset and i have received the nooks and crannies issue before many times so i removed a bunch of terrain
im not asking for a solution because this is what i had hoped to add when the map was completely finished but does anyone have an idea why?

👻 👾 👽 💪

How many triggers does your map have?

TinyMap2 - Latest in map compression! ( 7/09/14 - New build! )
EUD Action Enabler - Lightweight EUD/EPD support! (ChaosLauncher/MPQDraft support!)
EUDDB - topic - Help out by adding your EUDs! Or Submit reference files in the References tab!
MapSketch - New image->map generator!
EUDTrig - topic - Quickly and easily convert offsets to EUDs! (extended players supported)
SC2 Map Texture Mask Importer/Exporter - Edit texture placement in an image editor!

Why would you... anti-save? You're forcing players to do repetitive stuff that they already beat all over again by disallowing saving deliberately, and that is just evil.

Having over 65536 triggers will make saved games un-loadable.

The only two programs you should use for these purposes are TinyMap2 and Unused Unprotector; Korean programs are known to glitch or function poorly.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

That's wrong because it's impossible to have savegames which have more than 65535 triggers (unless you somehow manage to modify your savegame and add triggers). The attempt to save the game will crash Starcraft.

Symmetry -- Man I wish we had this tech back in the day when people played ums lmao
[06:28 am]
NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
