while i was testing, a rock sprite appear near middle and it crash me, i remake game and I could not find it again so is it possible that it was a fluke and it wont happen again? also what triggers would be involved to create a rock sprite so i can verify.

There are tons of ways to create that rock sprite, it appears in tons of unstable things. Disable/enable doodad spriting certain units or the "hallucinated powerup" glitch can create it. Were you using any "Disable/Enable Doodad Sprite" anywhere?

i only used disable enable on a protoss gateway for the blue fire but the rock sprite appeared far away from that.

I don't think it works on gateways (some units will crash with the disable enable trick). Try photon cannons, or shield batteries (shield batteries give a nice glowy effect, the sparkles are still visible).

old wiki is pretty broken, but here's disabled sprites via preplaced disable.

here's cloaking via disable trigger.

Many are known to crash, or create a rock sprite (sprite ID 0, btw).

near the middle, i have the start location sprite placed for player 12. In a Seperate Map, i placed a start location sprite and destroyed it and the game crashed.
maybe my computer is killing at least one of the multiple start locations because i did set them to unally neutral. too bad theres no way to make the start location invincible, if thats not the problem ill post again. ty for help
Although when the start location was destroyed, i did not see a rock sprite and im 100% sure i saw a rock sprite in my initial encounter but i am unable to see it again.

An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

Rock sprites usually appear a small distance above the unit that creates it. If you remember a rock sprite, check what units were around that area, specifically slightly below where the sprite appeared. That is probably the source.

Could you just use a sprite image of a start location? You can't destroy sprites (at least not in-game by normal means) unless they are sprite units.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
