Do you think that the rating spot should be moved to somewhere else? If so, where?
Do you think the green bars that are at the left to separate "categories" (Map's thumbnail, Forces, Locations, Triggers, etc...) should be made into something else?
I do believe they should be thiner and dark.

EDIT: By the way, the ranks are situated right under the image at the top left.

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

I think the rating, if possible, should be faded into the background behind all the states. If needed, I can design the images. Personally, I just think it would look very professional. If not, at the bottom. It just looks weird where it is now.

And I agree with payne on the borders.

Regarding the ratings, check the third collapsible box in this post. I already have the HTML and CSS for that idea done, it wouldn't take any JS, and it would take minimal PHP to implement. (When I said it was tricky, I meant that relative to the other two ideas in that post, which are both extremely easy.) I should add that for displaying the viewer's vote, I could also get the stars to show as colored (instead of giving them a green background).

If anyone wants to mess with the borders, but doesn't feel like digging through all my CSS, the relevant rule is #file-details>ul>li.separator.

Dunno about the lines..

but the Ratings should be at least a little bigger or more apparent.
Also.. how come your screen is so wide, payne O.O it kinda disorientates me

May be it can have a seperate section above the description but below the tabs.
so it's mainly the first thing people'll notice
Altho making the current ratings area bigger would work too :D

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.
