For some reason when I make a trigger in SCMDraft 2 it won't display text messages, does anyone else have this problen?

Do you have the trigger in the wrong force?
Do you have the trigger in wrong player?
Do you have it activating on something thats not happening?
Is your text invisible? =o

A little more information would be nice.. like the layout of the trigger ¬_¬
Force And or Player, Conditions & Actions

Are subtitles activated / Is the text shown as subtitle?

I am new to SCMDraft, but everything else in the trigger works except the text part, I will try to check out that subtitle thing you are talking about.

Okay I've done testing with different editors and it's definatly SCMDraft 2 that is not showing the text, is there some kind of setting I have off? I tried using it with and without colors, everything in the trigger works but the text and it works with different editors. I am basically trying to make it so I can solely use SCMDraft 2, instead of doing my triggers in X-tra editor and finising up with SCMDraft.

In that case either subtitles or trigger owned not by the human player is the problem.
About subtitles:
There's a checkmark "always display" when editing the text. If it is checked the text is not marked as subtitle thus appearing always.

Oh and I hope you used "diplay text", not "comment"

Go to triggers -> trigger editor (not classig map trigs) and copy and paste the trigger here. Then we would be able to say more.

Are you using Scmdraft2 0.8.0? It should have text marked as always display by default.

Ahh thanks! I didn't see that always display thing, I've never touched that and I must have hit a hotkey or something to take it off.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?

Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings
