About talking portrait and messages:

- is the "show talking portrait for x ms" considered as a wait trigger?

-if a terran player is under attack or has insufficient minerals, the player gets the terran type message "insufficient minerals". I want the terran player to get zerg type messages, so the terran type messages should be replaced (for specific messages or all of them)?

-when exactly is this terran type message used: "abandoning auxiliary structure"?

None.

It shouldn't be, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were. Go ahead and test it out with wait blocks by putting hypers before the trigger.

If you want the terran player to get zerg messages, change the player to "zerg" then. The only difference is the GUI, which is purely cosmetic.

What's the filename? If you don't know it, go through all the adjutant sounds, starting with part 1.

Problem is, I do not like the terran interface at all. So it would be great if the terran messages could be changed.

This is what the file is called in scmdraft: Terran\Advisor\TAdUpd05.WAV

1) pretty sure it isn't. Testing it shouldn't take more than 2 minutes.
2) The only way is to make the Terran player a Zerg player with Terran buildings. If it's just for you locally I'm sure you can fiddle around with your MPQs using WinMPQ to replace the respective sound files.
3) I know that message but I believe it is unused.

In the campaign I think.

The message was supposed to be there for when you liftoff, and leave the addon behind. I guess they decided not to use it.

I want to display a message when any of the buildings lift off and unattaches from the add-on. but some difficulties:
the message must be displayed (once) only when player 1 buildings unattach, not terran buildings from other players.
player 1 has many types of the same buildings used and not preplaced

keep track of the number of addons each player has. Let's say a max of 20. If that number decreases in the next trigger round, and player 12's count increases, display the message.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
