The majority of recent news from Redmond lately has been focused on Windows 11, Microsoft has also unveiled Office 2021.

The Office products are included in a Microsoft 365 subscription however Microsoft is also making standalone versions available. Office Home and Student 2021 costs $149 and the Office Home and Business edition (which includes Outlook and Outlook, while the Home and Student version does not) is available for $249. You can find more information on pricing and editions here.

As with every version of Office Microsoft has released, microsoft office 2021, comes with a variety of new features. I'm not going to repeat every feature because honestly, a lot of the new features are ones I'd never use (such as Dark Mode or support for OpenDocument format 1.3). Even so, there is plenty to be pleased about Microsoft Office 2021, and I wanted to talk about some of the features that caught my eye. In case where you require a useful content about office kopen, browse this site.

Line Focus
This might seem like an odd thing to lead with However, one of my favorite new features is Line Focus. Line Focus isn’t something I would employ on a regular basis, but it's one that I know I'll find useful during the times I'm writing marathons. Word will display one line of text (or multiple lines, if you want), in order to assist you in focusing your attention. This is illustrated in Figure 1.

Sometimes at the end of an extended day, the lines on a page all appear to blur as I try to reread the things I've written. Line Focus is a feature that Line Focus feature will inevitably make proofreading easier.

Translator
Another very welcome new feature is a translator that works with Outlook. This new feature, which is enabled by way of an add-on, can instantly translate messages written in a foreign language. As someone who regularly receives messages via email from all over the globe, I'm sure that this new feature will be beneficial.

Inking
Another thing that I am super thrilled about regarding Microsoft Office 2021 is the fact that Microsoft has finally introduced the ability to ink into Outlook. This means that you are now able to use an inking device such as a Surface Pen or any other inking device (including your mouse or your finger) to mark up email messages.

I can't even begin to tell you how many occasions I've wanted highlight an item in an email message or to include a note for myself (such as a due date, a phone number or something like that).

Speaking of inking, Microsoft has added a new pen toolbox in the microsoft office applications. The toolbox for pen lets you select an ink, alter the color of the pen, or switch to another drawing tool, like the eraser or the lasso. Both were present in PowerPoint for a while but now are part of Word.

Microsoft has also made changes to ensure that customizing the pen are no longer transferable between devices to the next. While this might seem like a negative aspect at first, it's actually a positive change. My Surface Book uses inking in different ways as my desktop. So, the pen I'm using on one device may not be the best for another.

One more ink-related capability is that Microsoft has introduced ink replay in the Office applications. In PowerPoint for instance, this implies that you can use prerecorded ink to annotate the live presentation.
