Speed and precision of manufacturing processes are key factors in determining the cost and quality of manufactured parts. Industries rely on injection molding of plastic to keep material costs down while maintaining the ability to produce at a high level. Particularly for those industries that require complex or intricate components, precision is key.
Manufacturing requires top-quality machine tools to ensure high-quality, precision, long-term durability, and high tolerances. It is possible to build molds that are of the highest quality by using CNC machining, a process which removes metal accurately.

What is CNC Machining?
It is vital to know the process of designing mold tools. The more complicated the tooling process, the more the requirements for accuracy and mass production. Whether you wish for an article source about CNC machining, check over here.

This precision is attained by manufacturers by using computers numerical control (CNC). It replaces manual vertical millers and lathes by an automated central system. CNC machines convert computer-aided design (CAD) models into mass-produced components with as little as .0001 variation between parts. They function using the latest manufacturing techniques, which remove materials from solid blocks by using a variety of cutting tools to achieve the intended design.

There are three types of CNC cutting.

Milling: This involves mounting the component on a bed and removing material by rotating cutting tools. The result is products that are available in various forms.
Turning: This method places the component on a rotating chuck and removes material using stationary cutting tools to create the axially symmetric products.
EDM: It is a controlled electric discharge process that produces the desired shape.

CNC machineries can be utilized with a variety of common materials, such as:

Aluminum
Steel made of stainless steel
Brass
Other types of metals

CNC Machining Benefits
There are numerous advantages of CNC machines over conventional techniques for machining. They have higher levels of automation and can reduce mistakes, while also increasing efficiency and cost effectiveness. Here is a compilation of the major benefits of CNC machines:

Productivity
Because you can programme the CNC mill or other machine to carry out a complex series of actions, you can often take a break while the machine is working. This could include automated out-of-hours machine machining with certain setups which can dramatically increase the efficiency and speed of output. This is especially relevant for precision engineers operating several CNC centers, like Oracle Precision.

Consistency
CNC machines almost eliminate human error and create quality work that is consistent and consistent. Customers receive perfect products because of this. CNC machining is crucial in fields that require top quality work.

Cost Effectiveness
CNC machines are more affordable than the initial price because of their increased output and less errors in the parts that result. A CNC machine requires less training for the operator and is able to be utilized in virtual environments, eliminating the requirement to teach the workpieces. The cost of these machines will decrease as they become popular and widely used.

Safety
Any hazardous safety issues that could result in a jam or other machine error, is detrimental to the machine and not a safety risk for the operator, in contrast to the traditional open guarding.

Versatility
CNC machines can be programmed quickly to create the new product. This makes them great for short production runs or long durations. It is possible to change the programming without it being expensive or time-consuming.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
