I was wondering if someone could jimmy me up with a signature, since I don't have photoshop. I was looking for either a really cute Zergling (which I can't seem to find!) or if not that, deerwhale. If anyone is up to it, and wants to gain a few mins, then I'll PM some details.

I looked everywhere looking for Lings that looked like that, but couldn't find any. And I don't think the quality would be that great if you prntscrned them. But if you could draw them, that would be great! They would have to be happy though

GIMP is a free alternative to Photoshop. Although not as good, it performs just as well.
InfranView is also another free alternative, although this isn't under the GNU.

I am trying to make the eyes just right. It is hard to find the perfect expression for these guys, especially that in that cartoon on youtube they all had this depressed look across their faces.

Wouldn't a depressed zergling fit perfectly? It could be saying "Hug me".

Damn. I guess i was looking for a desperate look, like puppy dog eyes, but not so much a sad smile. And I was looking for somewhat of a Banner as well, with "Hug_A_Zergling" in it. Pl0x and thxu.

For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically[2026-6-21. : 4:26 am]
