Anyone going to be playing this on Sunday!?

I don't know about it being innovative but apparently it's a step up from WoW. I'll be playing this Sunday during the open beta.

Anyone else playing this weekend on the destruction side?

I've been playing on mad dog pass. Right now my characters have extremely random names because its still beta (everything will be wiped when the game is out).

Ahhimblind (can't remember), Argimdead (chosen? I think), ChesterCheetah (it aint easy being cheesy - swordmaster), Chuiu (zealot - had him to level 9 before he accidentally got deleted), dowhatnow (??? maybe witch hunter), flamingskull (pyromancer), gijane (bald female human priest), goblincatapult (shaman), graenock (engy), meh (meh), originalname (could be marauder), squigbillies (squig herder), whotookgimli (rune priest), and woogoo (black orc) just to name a few.

Also the client saves chat logs and from just a couple days playing mine were 12mb total. So watch out those who don't have a lot of hard drive space and/or don't care about chat logs. (its the combat logs that take up 90% of that space)

Are you in the closed beta?

No I played during the preview weekend, I'll be playing starting sunday again though.

What were your impressions of it?

I heard its alot like WoW, just improved.

It is a lot like WoW but I felt it was very lacking in features and the game was extremely glitchy on my computer. It crashed a bunch of times (because of a certain battleground - they fixed it already), it froze 3 times as much (10 times total I think, had to restart my computer every time too), and enemy mobs had stupid/broken pathing AI that would cause them to run away when attacking them or stand still or run halfway towards you and stand still, etc.

Besides all the problems it was pretty cool though, PvP PQ's are fun as shit and when you're in battlegrounds they increased your stats to level 8 so you don't suck as much as you normally would (but you still do because of lack of skills/gear). Leveling was a bit slower, maybe thats because I was fucking around a lot though.

I'll try it out when it comes in Europe (23rd if I remember correct). Going to play Goblin Squig Herder for the lulz. I just hope it will be better than Age of Conan and interesting enough to keep me away from WoW for a while.

I can't get in. It sucks.
Maybe you already have it patched so you can get in. It won't validate through the patching stage for me.
