Okay guys, I'm redoing my website in the next month or so, so I would like to brainstorm some ideas and features that would be cool to have, so post anything that would make the website better, or any cool little tools you think I should add to it. I'll list the ones I like

1. Ready-made skins - Done
Four skins will be available to begin with, a skin has it's own CSS, backround image, banner, and homepage music

2. Custom skins - Basically done
You can link to your own CSS, backround image, banner, and music(optional) to create a custom skin.

3. Notepad - Done
A togglable feature that allows you to take notes in the tutorials section, follows your screen, can be minimized.

4. Toggle-able Music - unfinished
Option to turn the music on the homepage on and off.

5. Trigger Tables - unfinished
Remove images of triggers and replace them with tables, for faster loading time

6. Direct Links - unfinished
All programs, files and images will be hosted by Google, so the direct links will always work and images won't break.

7. Custom Javascript File(maybe?) - unfinished
Ability to link to a custom javascript file, allowing you to add tools and other things to the website.

8. Music Off - unfinished
Music on the homepage will be off by default, but can be turned on in the Settings area.

Simple backgrounds that are not gradients will be nice for a change. No music at all would also be good for humanity.

I think I'll make a backround similar to what SeN has.

A better/quieter song would be nice.
Have the toggle where everyone can see it. Preferably top side. Not scrolled down.

Well, I plan on having the toggle be in the settings section(where you choose skins and such) maybe I'll have it off by default.

EDIT: Yes, I'll make it off by default, that should satisfy many people I'll make it quieter too, It is a bit loud.

Honestly, music on webpages is fail and tacky, scrap the whole thing. I had a look at your site and quit cause i couldn't stand the music.

I for one, LIKED the music. But the fact that it doesn't sync... makes it sound crappy. If you do add music, be sure it loops properly

I think it's just that web browsers don't have good loops, but as I've said to other people, the music is on the homepage only, the rest of the site is music free, and I will disable it by default, for people like me who like the music, you can turn it back on at the settings page


Thanks for reminding me of that Yeah, I originally made it with a page builder, since I didn't understand how to use tables or divs, then touched it up with a bit of extra code, that's why there's so many errors on the page. And looking that over, half the errors come from the music being embedded

You should have a forum...like really, theres nothing to keep my interest, no offense. Although im SUPPOSE to be interested in Mapping

Nope, I'm not going to have a forum, that's what SeN is for, my website is just a read-only external tool.

Well, maybe you should have more maps. I wanted to look through all the maps you made.

It's the new default skin, hope you guys will enjoy it, all that page shows is the background and banner, I'm currently working on the CSS for it, and I should have it done pretty soon, and HaZ, I'll get more maps up once I finish skins, and a bunch more tutorials probably too.

Tell me if something about that skin is crappy, and I'll try to fix it.

The problem is, that you haven't implemented it on other parts of your site. And please, just get rid of the music, it's not that hard.

Okay, music removed, and as I've said I'm still working on the CSS, this is a complete redo of the entire site, and it might take a little while to transfer everything over, I want to make sure it all works well before going and doing stuff to the rest of the site.

lol nub, switch the colors around. Black should be in the BG and green on top (black on side green in mid)

I copied SeN Should I swap it, or keep it like SeN has it?
