Its been about 5 monthes since ive purged my computer of starcraftness (about 3000 files) (my computer was running slow and i was using it for other stuff.... and no it wasnt porn....) anyway i was working and almost finished with a medium/totalish conversion mod called StarCraft: Terran Beginnings. I decided to leave my dled maps and a copy of my mod, just in case i wanted to finish it... well now its summer and i figure that i wasted many many many hours on this mod so why not waste afew more so maybe it will be good enough for map night and there fore may have some small ripple of an impact in starcraft modding history.

This mod is pretty cool, i pretty much based it off of my terran GRP making skills, and it features 2 terran races with alot of new units and buildings. Some of you may remember it or remember my seemingly imposible questions (or i just couldnt figure it out) but you guys did really help me alot, and now i have pretty much forgotten everthing i knew. So.... please bear with my and my bad spelling.

Here is the latest version from the old maplantis, hope it still works.

Now there is one major problem.... it is for a later patch (i think the one before the current one) but now all the requirements and buttons dont work properly due to that one program were you edit that stuff being out of date.

So i need a new version of that one program... FIREGRAFT! or a really noobie friendly way to downgrade. After i can play it when everything works i can finish any errors.


THINGS TO BE DONE?
-ballence.... its not too bad, both races are pretty much parralell, and ive decided to kind of just screw zerg...
-maybe a little GRP work... hopefully not....
-SOUNDS.... half the terran still say protoss things, wont be to hard to change, ill just use normal terran
-Unknown crashes, these are always fun, you know the ones about 20 minutes into the game where you cant narrow it down
-AI? i had a little bit of crappy ai for the comps, it works, they pretty much rush and level off with tanks and a little bit of air
-special attacks, but of cource i could never get the fricken war cruiser to have a special... and i think im about done with that any way
-healing and repairing for normally protoss units.... again, i could never get this to work, so screw it.

if you do play my mod and you have more to add please tell me.


So after i get the right patch, i guess ill need all the good ol programs.... lets see....

Custom Terrain .... SCREW THAT! (but thanks farty, that program was pretty cool)

ya so ill need dl locations and help with using alot of this until i get the hang of it again... so thanks and sorry for being a noob again.

this mod is pretty cool, i even made a custom movie for the main menu thing, and the grps are pretty epic. I made a bunch of cool attacks too and i think it has potential, but i need help.

And unfortunatly i left the sc community on a bad note, and im sorry i left alot of you hanging on projects (shadowscar, zergblender,lil-inferno,clan orig) but i do want to try to redeem myself and get this playable. And i really do apreciate help. And i wont be working on this a ton, but just on those long summer days when im not hanging out in town or playing guitar hero :) hopefully it doesnt need alot of work anyway.

Glad to see this is back. I enjoyed the screenshots of this mod and was hoping you actually finished it :P

Anyway, I took the time to compile all tools into one package a long time ago, you might want to arm yourself again with the arsenal of modding tools here:

Datedit may not work as it's computer specific, it's just some paths and such that you must modify I think.

Thanks for the link corbo, but i cant do much untill i downgrade, or is that version of FG current? Datedit worked on this computer before so i dont think it will be a problem.

Ya polaris, it would have been sweet to combine all our terran GRPs into one huge supper awsomelooking fleet. And thanks..

Hmm the current and most updated version of FG is 1.15.1
The current patch is 1.15.2 so yeah, you'll need a downgrade I guess.
