I agree, the more explosions I see the higher the score will be :P

Polaris, did that edit cost you minerals? :P

No, but the one before that one did.

Explosions >>>> Melee units. I think anyone can pretty much agree with me right there :P

NO WAI. Melee units are the best things about any mod.

But this is 200 years in the future! Surely by then everyone will be smart enough to know that being limited by range is stupid. :P

Lightsabers are hardly even an improvement over normal swords. Seriously, all they do is cauterize the wounds they make. :P

NO U. They can deflect laser beams! And then they can be used as medical equipment by closing wounds! Its the ultimate melee weapon.

Dungeon Master

Lightsabers are a technology of the past, not the future. Get your timeline straight

Hello

Did You Mean: Life Savers?

Good mod overall. Few glitches happen here and there, but then again, Polaris died.

He means you shouldn't have posted in this thread because the last time someone posted in this thread was a long time ago.

However, I disagree with the accusation because this is a project thread, and is like a gallery of mods. I still wouldn't suggest it though, especially if what you're posting has little coherent thought put into it.

I'll put it this way, what did you contribute to the mod with your necromancy? In fact, the author of this mod (Polaris[MM]), has been retired for a while now, so you couldn't really say anything productive.

None.

Dungeon Master

Deathman, I'll do the moderating, thanks.

I don't mind thread necromancy in this forum because it can bring attention to older mods, which is never a bad thing.

Symmetry -- Man I wish we had this tech back in the day when people played ums lmao
[2026-7-16. : 6:28 am]
NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[2026-7-16. : 6:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor
[2026-7-16. : 2:28 am]
Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
[2026-7-15. : 4:10 am]
Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
[2026-7-15. : 2:19 am]
Symmetry -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
