layin' in the cut

It would be cool once the plug is pulled on Maplantis ( :( ) if there was a skin that made SEN look EXACTLY like maplantis, except for the logo which would have the same image style, but instead of saying "Maplantis the lost city of mapmaking" it said "Staredit Network pushing starcraft maps to the limit".

EDIT: I guess this should be in the forum StarEdit Network... whatever.

this too shall pass

The sword and the faith

SEN is, and shall be green.
Syphon has already made a new skin that will be put in.

I do like Maplantis' skin more (though I haven't seen the new one Syphon made/is makingfor SEN), it doesen't suit SEN at all.

Akar: I suggest you stop the SEN vs. Maplantis crap right now.

I don't quite understand how a skin can fit a forum's domain name or not.. anybody care to explain.. I think a skin that was developed to look exactly the same as Maplantis would work fine.. what's going to make it not fit or something.. =\

Forget about it blue is too ugly for this website. Also it wouldnt match the theme.

Maplantis= Lost mapping world of osmap = lost world of atlantis = ocean = blue
Staredit Network= staredit = green

How would it not match the theme, if the whole point about having Maplantis's skin on this site is to change the theme..

I don't get it..

Yeah, I also didn't go to maplantis because of the colors. It wasn't...inviting.

If it doesn't take too much work then that would be awesome, but if it takes more than an hour or two I'd say I'd rather have them coding than making a skin.

I agree: making a background can (and is) time consuming. Steer clear of big-fancy backgrounds.
Uggh! Blue is not a good look for this site :)

meme

If you want a site that looks like Maplantis, you should probably be at Maplantis. If I wanted SEN to look at Maplantis, I wouldn't build a site, I'd just start working at Maplantis.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
