I just don't understand my school.
Everyone there completely avoids work, and gets upset [like seriously angry] when they have to work.

I got threatened to be bashed for getting the teacher when he forgot about our class [happens regularly]

Ordinarily, fair enough, but this was GAMES PROGRAMMING.
What the shit is wrong with people. I don't get it, all the students seem to think you come to school to annoy you. Not to learn, I mean seriously, what the fuck do you think it's for?

I'm asked to stall my teachers by discussing politics. It almost always works unless they catch on. ;p

It's fun to get SOSE[history] teachers off on tangents.

"But how did the gold get there?"
30 minutes of sitting back and listening to how gold forms.

Instead of textbook work. :D

I’ll take ICP as an example: do I really need to know that positive ions have smaller atomic radii than their neutral atoms, and that negative ions have larger atomic radii than their neutral atoms?
In most jobs you will indeed have absolutely no use for that knowledge. No direct use that is. The thing is that while you will not remember a lot of the stuff you learned at school but because you are forced to learn that kind of information you are training your brain, discipline, social skills, etc. Those are essential skills required to be able to effectively function as an adult, being able to take care for yourself and others around you.

Zoan -- of course it isn't full understanding. You could ask "is the mechanism by which this counterexample blows up the ONLY mechanism possible for an initial configuration to blow up?"

Constructing a counterexample is answering the question: "Is Navier Stokes well posed?" in the negative
