Hello there!
After
Vanguard of Aiur,
Underdogs and
Unlikely Allies, I am here with a brand new custom campaign!
Join a secret Khalai investigation at the edge of the Protoss space and experience firsthand the omens of the imminent war!
STORYThis campaign takes place before the events of the original StarCraft campaigns. As Praetor of a Templar security force, you are assigned to a group of Khalai scientists that are monitoring some Terran movements near the Protoss space borders, where some comets of a singular nature have fallen...
FEATURES- This campaign can run with any version of the original StarCraft (all the campaign maps are in the *.scm format); you can play the campaign with Brood War expansion, but it would be inaccurate from a story point of view

- The campaign is made of
five six missions with increasing difficulty and is Protoss based;
- Special AI scripts (also from the original campaign missions) are used to give Computer players a more specific behavior.
DESIGNER'S NOTESWith this campaign, I wanted to make a sort of 'prequel' to the events of the original game from the Protoss' point of view, such as the "Loomings" campaign does for the Terran Confederacy and its colonial worlds. Due to this, I also wanted to recreate the spirit of the original campaigns, so I decided to only use basic map triggers and mission objectives. Nevertheless, the campaign comes with both new and known characters and different factions which are given little space in the original game.

Below you find some screenshots and the link to the current version of the campaign. I have playtested the maps shortly to check if everything works fine, but I would appreciate any feedback from expert, passionate players.
Enjoy!

None.
Awesome! I'll definitely give these a play. How would you rate the difficulty of them?
Yay new StarCraft Custom Campaign! But I prefer a Custom Campaign take place after Brood War.

My intent is to make these maps accessible to an average-ability player as I am.
That's why I need some testing to check if everything is challenging but not too difficult
None.
*UPDATE VERSION 1.3*
I decided to add one more level between Mission 1 and Mission 2, which now becomes Mission 3 (and the following map Mission 4, and so on). So now we have 6 missions.
I also changed Mission 1 and what is now Mission 3 a little bit to allow the new map to fit into the story.
I would like to thank user RoughRider aka JumpStart who contacted me by email and gave me the idea.

Enjoy!

I've played the first two maps, I saved replays but I think the pause trigger just bricks them? Starcraft just freezes when it hits them in the replay.
For mission 1, please please please let us have speed zealots. That was a lot of siege tanks to kill with only dragoons and little space to flank.
Mission 2 felt pretty good. I had no idea archons could fit on those tiny stairs. The big problem with this style of map is that often the optimal strategy is to just sit there for minutes waiting for energy/shields to recharge. Generally this can be solved with either time pressure or free heals at key junctions; perhaps consider one of these. The fights felt fair, though the last engagement nearly got me. I only had the hero and probes by the end!

For mission 2 I was thinking about giving the player some reinforcements after each comet/capsule; in the current map there are some hidden beacons where the player can recall some Zealots and Dragoons, but maybe it's better to give the player these units in any case rather than if they find some hidden areas of the map.
Another option is to place some rescuable units along the map (like original Protoss 6 installation), but it wouldn't be so accurate from a story point of view.
