The Curious

Quote from Zycorax
My family got a PC with Windows 3.11 back in 1995.
Exactly the same for me (the PC was a 486DX2 @ 66 MHz; I upgraded to Windows 95 in the spring of 1996). The hard drive died two years later though. Upgraded to a Pentium 166MHz in 1997 (running Windows NT 4.0 *), then to Pentium III 450 MHz in 2001, all within the same old case from the 486. :)

* and that was when I discovered Starcraft... and my life has never been the same since. :D

Trial and error... mostly error.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

the same old case from the 486. :)
I remember that those had hard power off switches that directly disconnected the PSU. No need to press for 5s to turn off. :D

Oh_Man -- where they use third party audioprogram called WWISE which basically makes adding audio extremely difficult

Oh_Man -- i appreciate SCBW's ability to just let us upload and play WAVs so much compared to nightmare that is total war warhammer 3

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
