I've seen much more elaborate projects here than mine but I think it is still worth it to share my project.

Intro

I've created a simple executable that takes in a map file and modifies it preserving the triggers and units but modifying the tiles so a random mazed is produced.

My inspiration came from playing "Deep Rock Galactic" where every time you explore a cave it is different. I tried to recreate this using SCMDraft to add the main elements of the game but later using my program to scramble the location of everything (units and triggers locations), So you never know where the exit is or even the enemies.

The Github if you are interested in the technical side.

I tried sharing a picture of the maze but it does not work. Failed to get ImageSize ( http://imgur.com/a/8yuqmuG )

Improvements

Future things I would to improve is the aesthetic of the maze, since currently it is made of two tiles and looks very boring.

If you really, really want to try this out here is the link to the installer. It is a ClickOnce App made with C#.
Just know Windows will try to disuade from installing random software on your computer.

Installer

Let me know what you think of this.

Thanks!

We do a little trolling

Looks pretty cool. You might find this project by Kenoli from back in the day interesting: https://scmscx.com/map/BkYGx9Bx It has some advantages like that new mazes are generated on the fly every time the map is loaded, but the disadvantage is that the maze walls are made up of creep colonies, so it severely cuts into the unit limit.

My Projects:

Impossible Ultraviolet | Impossible UV 2 | Impossible UV 3
Mercenaries 2020 | Mercenaries III
Squad Defense

Legacy Projects (No guarantee of functionality in modern SC):

Pixel Adventure 2 | Space Snipers | Control the Ball

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
