There is a error message when you try to run a selfrunning sempq or firegraft archive. Mainly with the download version of SC/BW of your Battle.net 2.0 account, but also CD versions of the game. The message reads as follows:


Are there any known possibilities to fix this?

What OS are you running it on? Have you tried running it as administrator?

First of all, thanks for your reply, Farty.
I am familiar with your name and work in SC modding. So it's a honor for me to get help by such a veteran.

The message occurs at Windows 10. A user reported that problem, which I had also some time ago.

To be more specific:

My OS is Win 7.
- Using the CD version of SC/BW: Firegraft.exe runs fine.
- Using the said download version of SC/BW from Battle.net 2.0: Firegraft.exe gives that error message.

Users OS is Win 10.
- Using CD version of SC/BW: Firegraft.exe gives that error message.
- Using the said download version of SC/BW from Battle.net 2.0: SC won't even start...

First he tried to start the Firegraft.exe with the download version. Didn't start. As mentioned...
So I gave him the advice to use the CD version of the game, because it works fine for me. He did so, but reported shortly after to encounter that error message which I got only with that download version from Battle.net 2.0.

So I wonder if somebody also stumbled upon this error message and knows maybe a solution for that problem.
(God, I hope DiscipleofAdun will update Firegraft once again.)

what mod is this? Mind sharing the .exe with us? I also run w10.

Of course, it's my six year old award-winning campaign The Outworld-Saga for StarCraft: Brood War. It's fully voiced, but in german, though...

But you can download and try it anyway...
To start the campaign, choose the main campaign menu and begin with Episode 1.
