As you might know, I am currently hitchhiking through South America.
As of right now, I am in Cali (Colombia).

Next is Ecuador, then Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and finally Argentina.

If any of you guys feel kind enough to share their home for a few days, I would appreciate it.

Let me know where you live! :)

In May 2016, I will try to hitch a boat from Ecuador to New Zealand. And then move on to Australia, and then finally enter Eurasia.

I suspect 'hitching' an international boat will be quite a difficult exercise.

None.

It is actually pretty easy.

I spent 2 weeks in Panama trying to hitch a boat to Colombia. I only found one, that did not want anything to do with me, because the wind and water currents at that moment were pushing people toward Europe or New Zealand.
But if I was not that set on going to South America, I had encountered 4 different rides: one to an island within Panama, another one through the Panama Canal down to some island in the Pacific (I crossed the Panal with him, but left once that was done because he was not sure if he would have to stop in Ecuador before heading to the island), one going to France (through the Carabean islands and Miami), and one going to New Zealand (but they ended up having to take the boat off water, and will launch next year, passing through Ecuador, and they are basically the lift I will try to hit, but I do believe there will be other chances).

So yeah, 4 opportunities in 2 weeks.
I also met a total of 5 other boat-hitchers at that marina (2 girls in a group, and 3 guys solo). They all found rides to different locations within 2 weeks.

How big are the boats you're talking about? Are they commercial operations (eg shipping boats) or are they personal/private?

None.

Personal.
Shipping boats are very retiscent of picking up a passenger because they have people verifying the crew that is on board.

One needs to hang out at marinas to find a ride.

And so, to be more precise, boats vary generally from 20 foot to maybe 50 foot long.

It's August 23rd, where are you now?

In Quito (Ecuador).

I was not planning on going there, but when I was camping in a parking lot in Baņos, some retard backed into my tent, as I was inside, with his car, in broad day-light.
Luckily, I was packing up, and thus in sitting position. If I would have been laying down, my feet would have been crushed.

So this idiot destroyed my 300$ tent, and does not want to give me more than 100$ for it.
Not to mention his car was literally over my head before he finally heard me yelling.

So yeah, here I am in Quito, CouchSurfing, to buy a new tent. The only good tents are the imported ones, and they are way more expensive than in the US (there seems to be a minimum of a 80$ price inflatino from importation... who knows if it is taxes).

I will be around Lima (Peru) for late October, and in Patagonia for December/January/February.

Then I want to be in Manta (Ecuador) for May 2016.

That is the current plan.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
