Time to carry on the tradition! What are your resolutions for 2015? What were your resolutions for 2014? Did you follow through with them?
Many of you posted your insight/resolutions to
last year's thread, so take a look if you think you've forgotten what you said you'd do this year.
As for me, while I started going to a gym more often I quickly fell out of practice with it. I can't stand my gym, it is brimming with obnoxious, loud yuppies that talk too loudly on their phones in workout areas. I can't wait until my contract is up at the end of the month, and then maybe if I plan on going to the gym I can find one I actually like.
We did get married this year! So I guess I achieved that!
I did start new creative projects, but I should really start finishing them this time instead of just starting. I did not learn how to sew from a pattern - in fact I put my sewing machine into storage to make room for some other crafty endeavors.
And now for resolutions for next year...I don't have any yet. I might not have any this year at all.
Lose weight.
Meet my significant other.
Better myself as a person.
Learn a new language.
Visit another country.
I think I got some of the big ones, so no need to mention them again.
Get to Level 2 on Project Euler by the end of 2015

Just here for the activity... well not really

I have no idea what to put here... So I guess I'll just put this here.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch
Previous resolution puns

To be fair this one
1680 x 1050, but I plan on breaking it soon.
could be counted as a contribution in the spirit of the topic.

More gym time. Less sucking at school. Finding bromance.

-Improve my academics: given a school day, study for those courses that I must attend for that day as a minimum guideline for how much I should study. Failed.
-Be more open: also, come out to more people, especially if the subject comes to it. I am at least one bi, maybe gay, maybe trans. Complete. It wasn't pretty, but it's done.
-Be more considerate, thoughtful, and rigorous: if I make an assumption, I have to prove it to myself and if I make a prediction, I have to justify it. This process should be thorough and rigorous. I got a fair amount of reading done on social matters and got involved in some things, so I guess it's okay.
-Program more: participate in an open-source project, or finish a project of my own, or participate in a group project. Failed.
I also got a bunch of mid-year and life resolution things done, so I'm pretty satisfied with how 2014 turned out.
For 2015:
(1) More transitioning. Especially in legal gender identification.
(2) Get a job.
(3) Optional: Get a driver's license. High fuel costs and availability of public transportation continue to be disincentives.
(4) Get a project done.
It appears I didn't explicitly set any goals for 2014, but I implied the same goals I seem to always have (which I will carry on in to the new year):
- Play music more.
- Program more.
- Be less lazy more. -- Which in 2014 I've actually been doing better at.
Another year comes and goes. I guess I'm improving, just very slowly.

I am torn between embracing my curse of being repulsive to women and committing to being alone, or to forgo that and put myself on a path that will no doubt hurt me terribly when the girl I am currently pursuing rejects me.
I have a well paying job that isn't too bad. I can buy myself whatever really. I have a nice car, and I can get an apartment anytime I want to push myself to do so. But characteristically I want the one thing I can't have.
Oh well. A life with my cat and my maps won't be so bad.
Here's to quitting before you kill yourself from all the rejections.
In short:
Resolution Option A: Realize women will never like me, be content with kitten.
Resolution Option B: Ignore all data to the contrary, pursue pretty girl, kill self when rejected.
