As professed by Devlin himself, we must bid farewell to this crazy corner of the internet we've called home for the last decade.
Wait, what's happening?
Code
[11:58 am] :DevliN: -- Why does everyone think SEN v6 is coming? [11:59 am] :DevliN: -- Why not v5.2 or the more realistic option of me not paying the bills and SEN shutting down in 2 days
Idk why all are you obsessed with the v6 idea All I do is add a timer for you so you know how much longer you can enjoy your stay here and all you guys do is planning to riot if we do not create and launch a SEN v6

No worries everyone: settle down! payne comes to the rescue and will now pay for the servers.
How much is being a bum paying these days?
Not bad at all! Cherry picking for up to 40$/h, construction in the Yukon for up to 30$/h, hitching across Canada for a positive budget. I made 5k in one month of work and now I have enough for the rest of my year. Not to mention the surprise bonus income from Blizzard's RTC contest.
Symmetry shouted: Man I wish we had this tech back in the day when people played ums lmao

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.
Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry -- Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
