Just here for the pie

So, like, NudeRaider suspended me from the shoutbox for calling him a fascist. If censoring someone for calling you out isn't fascism, I don't know what is. Anyway, with that I've realized how low SEN's become, and will leave SEN forever (and the community will probably crumble following my leave, seeing as I'm one of the few very active members) unless I receive direct notification from NudeRaider that my suspension from the shoutbox has been lifted within the next 24 hours.

Maybe the time to leave has come long ago, as SEN has withered away into being more and more unimportant. Bruce Lee once said, "It’s not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential." and needless to say, SEN is rather unessential at this point.

This is not a birthday thread.

Lol. No one leaves SEN. Ever.

Who do you think you are anyway, Corbo?

None.

No one, unless NudeRaider complies with my demand within the next 24 hours. Apparently I'm unwanted here.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

For now I'll just state, that you're still very welcome here, lil-Inferno. The punishments received are only temporary because we intend to keep you as a member.

As you will surely understand I can't submit to your terms, but I'll offer to talk about it and consider your side of the story.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
