So players are selecting between 3 units which one they want to be theirs.
But I have edited some stats, and added some abilities on certain units, so I want them to be able to select the unit and see its Command Card, but not be able to give it any order.

How do?

None.

Woah

You don't want to just show the abilities using dialogs and triggers?

🤙🏾

First you grant them control of the unit, either by giving it to them or allying them with the player that owns the unit.
Then you pause the unit with the 'pause/unpause unit' trigger action so it can't react to any orders.

This would prevent the units from moving or casting spells? It's all I need. :)

Oh_Man -- where they use third party audioprogram called WWISE which basically makes adding audio extremely difficult

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
