If I thought humanity was worth saving for some reason. I would devote my time into learning about bio engineering. I would need to create just 1 zombie-zombie. A zombie with the desire to feed on anything, even other zombies, and the ability to transfer its strain to other zombies.

The CDC already has a protocol for dealing with a zombie infection. Should this fail I would imagine I would hole myself up in Canada somewhere and wait it out. Then, after sufficient time has passed, begin collecting relevant scientific knowledge and applying it to rebuild a scientific society.

A zombie apocalypse would of course be absolutely horrific -and I'm sure unimaginably painful- but it would also be the ultimate challenge. I'm trying to find the words to describe how appealing being put to the test like that sounds while acknowledging just how bad I know it would be. If I were the last man alive (and somehow knew it), I would honestly spend my years doing whatever it takes (educating myself and building an infrastructure, etc) to ultimately clone and keep humanity going.

On a side note, if their method of infection is biting then a zombie outbreak would never be a risk; it would be too easy to contain. If they turn into zombies immediately after infection like in 28 Days Later then it would have no chance to make it off whichever continent or island it originated from (unless of course someone brings it over intentionally).

Okay so is my country that great that you all want to come here in the event of a zombie apocalypse? It has the smallest population to size ratio I suppose but it's cold in the winter. You'd need to be pretty prepared depending on where you go. Saying "go to Canada" is like saying "I'm going to go to the Andromeda Galaxy" or "I'm going to go somewhere." It's somewhat non-specific. Could you elaborate if you have a specific place? Would you go to Payne's house because he has been all across Canada and survived in the outdoors? Or just somewhere away from zombies that also has shelter/food?

I'd personally go live by Slave lake because it has water, and in the winter the zombies would freeze. Other option is to go live with the Inuit somewhere near Halifax. Maybe the Yukon.

On second thought, I've always wanted to travel to a magical, faraway place, where the sun is always shining and the air smells like warm root beer, and the towels are oh-so-fluffy, where the shriners and lepers play their ukuleles all day long and anyone on the street will gladly shave your back for a nickel.
